Of course, I want this primarily as a reader, but was hoping to use it to send/receive emails and browse the web while traveling. I travel within the US and also in Europe and don't usually take a cell or laptop. Frankly, I was just about to purchase the NC, because, until today, I understood that using Kindles to read/send emails and browsing the web was possible but barely...A real hassle. Then, someone told me it was very easy. Also, another factor that I had not considered until today was the fact that Kindles have an antenna, making certain that access to WiFi was always possible.
Thoughts? Liz
Access to WiFi is only possible when there is accessible WiFi. If you have a 3G/WiFi Kindle then you will have access to the web. You will have access where ever there is 3G coverage, which gives you greater range then a WiFi only device. This does not mean that you will always have coverage, your coverage will be limited by the 3G coverage.

I have not used the browser on my DXG so I cannot comment. I would imagine that the browser on a tablet will be a great deal better then a browser on an e-reader. That said, I know a decent number of people who browse the web on their Kindles and say that it works fine for them.
