It is not a sin but the amount of gripping is a bit out of whack, in my opinion. I have a DXG and would like the updates. I get that it is a unit that is a lower priority because it is not the huge seller. No, I have not seen sales numbers but I do know that I have never seen a DX of any form in the wild. I have seen my Mom and my brothers and a friends, that is it.
The K3 is the big seller. Updating that is a high priority in order to maintain the market share in the much more lucrative 6 inch market.
Does it suck? Yes. Am I surprised? No. Do I think posting the same gripes in numerous threads here changes a thing? No. Email Amazon, call customer service, write them a snail mail letter.
By the way, this is the same advice I give the folks complaining about book prices, format issues, and the like. The smaller companies have reps here because they want to offer support and sell more units. Amazon, BN, Sony might have someone who reads these boards on occassion but I doubt that anything we say here will affect change.
