Let's see for how long I can keep it up with the swimming.

When I bought my StairMaster a friend of mine, from the gym, thought, for sure, that I wouldn't use it at home. Statistically, that is normally true. A few months went by and he asked me how often I had used it. I told him, "Every day."
I think the difference with me is that I was already using the StairMaster, every day, in the gym. The only difference now is that I didn't have to get dressed and leave the house. So my advice has always been to buy the
exact machine that you use at the gym. Sure, it's more expensive than a home model, but better to spend $3500, than to throw away $1000 on a coat rack. I bought it 17 years ago, and it is still the single best purchase I've ever made.
BTW, as I type this, I'm sitting here in sweaty clothes, from recently getting off of the StairMonster. Time for a shower and dinner!
