It sounds a little like this thread is discussing at least three different models: the Cruz reader, the T103 and the T301.
I just got the T301 and am very happy with it. The Kindle app works great, and I like the extra tablet functionality. I check my gmail and Facebook on it, as well as using the browser for a bit of Internet surfing (but it's not particularly fast).
Cruz is supposedly coming out with a Honeycomb model later this year, and I wanted to try it out at a lower-cost model to check out the company first. I already have an Android phone and like the interface.
My battery life is very good. Two days with wifi on constantly and quite a bit of use, and the device in sleep mode only when not in use.
