Why does PocketBook refuse to publish their modifications to the linux kernel, FBReader and dozen of other GPL-licensed components? Maybe it isn't worth it to give the results of your own efforts to a company, which will take it and make it proprietary and closed source (against the license and thus infringing your copyright; as it did with FBReader, for example)?
