no easy way around this if you want an ISBN with you as the publisher. If you know you're only publishing one book, you could do something like this for half the cost:

Note: I know nothing about these guys, possibly could be a scam, but $125-$150 is the price I've heard bandied about.

If you're doing more than one print book, and you're set on having your own ISBNs then $250 is what you're looking at.
