but instead of the expected input
7 by pressing simultaneously <Alt><U>
- by pressing simultaneously <Back><U>
_ by pressing simultaneously <Shift><Back><U>
& by pressing simultaneously <Shift><Alt><U> blue in attachment
&* are input instead of & by pressing <Shift><Alt><U> hence the "two characters" problem identified by lynus.
