Hi All,

I have a Kindle 3, currently running system software version 3.0.2. I really want to install the screen saver hack, as the default images are driving me crazy, but I just want to make sure that I'm understanding all of the directions before I take the jump.

Here is one of my first questions: After copying the correct version of the jailbreak bin file to the root directory of my Kindle, I am supposed to safely eject the Kindle from my computer, the Update the Kindle form the home page (Menu > Settings > Menu > Update Your Kindle). Will updating my kindle this way force a download of version 3.1 of the Kindle firmware? If that is the case, then I won't be able to install the screen saver hack. Correct?

I will wait for a reply before proceeding any further. I'm looking forward to your replies. Thanks.
