You shouldn't have to delete hundreds of books individually from your Kindle's Home screen. Deleting the files en masse from Windows Explorer or Calibre is more efficient.

thanks _ I had considered that, but was unsure if the Kindle would get confused by having its files deleted via a PC app like Calibre, or via Windows explorer. I Know that it is safe to ADD files that way - I do it all the time.
I am pretty sure that I confused Ks indexing system one time by replacing books with updated / edited version without firstly deleting the old copies via Kindle's own interface.
