If we all had your amazing wisdom, the world would be a much better place! Or most likely, not. In any case, many of us have the KDX and we want it improved, even if you can't figure out why.
The KDX was was the first reader in the world with the Pearl screen. It is still the most expensive reader Amazon has, and the largest reader with a Pearl screen.
By most reasonable standards, it's Amazon's flagship product, while the The K3 is the mass-market device. Just like like hard-covers and paperbacks.
Amazon should support it better, but since there is no competition, they don't feel compelled to do it.
Plus, they support PDF only reluctantly -- they don't want us buying PDFs elsewhere, they want us buying mobi and ASW from them.
