Have you read Thomas Perry? I love all of his books, but my most favorite are the non-Jane Whitfield ones. I enjoyed every one his books, however. They are somewhat short, very sharp, and definitely hold your attention. And Thomas Harris is to die for, to me, no pun intended. And the Stieg Larsson Trilogy, of course! (Don't be discouraged by the beginning of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - slow start but then, hold on!) Enjoyed this thread.
