That's a pretty cool tip. I remember a post a while ago by Kovid saying one of the reasons he did not get try to get cover images from Amazon was the overlays, this would get around that.

Although between FantasticFiction and Google Images I rarely need to resort to Amazon's ones. Those sites were the primary reason why I wrote the "Search the Internet" plugin. Incidentally I will shortly release a plugin that will get covers from Goodreads so keep an eye out for that in the plugins forum if you are interested.
