I really enjoy the Father Brown series. Very relaxing reads but Chesterton's control of the language makes it even more enjoyable. I just finished his "
Saint Francis of Assisi" and am now about half way through his "
St. Thomas Aquinas". The substance is a bit thin but G.K.'s interpretation of history, especially when counterpoised with other personages and events makes both books enjoyable.
Already had my
de rigueur oolong for the night and am sipping on some Lamb's Navy rum with a squirt of Pepsi - to sooth my aching muscles after several home reno challenges today.
