Windows don't open as fast. I can't run as many programs at one time. I have to force restart about once a week because it gets abysmally slow. And then there are the periodic pauses as the laptop tries to catch up to itself. I've seen apps freeze that could run quite nicely on a 200MHz CPU. W. T. F. ?

Don't know that your issue is, but you are wrong. All it takes is a review of the results out there.
Not quite sure what your issue is, but you virtually always object to anything I say. I was was tired of it before and it hasn't changed.
You likely have a problem with your particular computer because I'm using win7 on three different machines High end to low end and they all work perfectly. I'd say it's time for you to get a new machine or figure out what's wrong with it.
