yeah, my folks were news addicts, well TV addicts in general. actually my Mom, not so much my Dad. since I have been reading the news online I pretty much refuse to watch regular news broadcasts unless it is a 9/11 sort of deal. the last few times I visited my folks I would leave the room when the news was on. Mom would ask if I didn't want to watch it and I would tell her what was coming up as I had already read it and didn't feel the need to put myself through further agony
