I'll throw a nook classic eink next to any kindle3 or Sony 650 950 and will wager my retirement fund that the Pearl Screen is no way, in any way, of any shape or form 50% better than the nook classic eink

after v1.5 with the bolder text on the nook color, it's on par with the Peal screen.
