I have 1755 books listed with Shelfari and as far as I know, there's no limit on how many I can add for free. I have only tried the Amazon check-inn recently. So far it isn't affecting my Shelfari experience. I don't know yet how it will affect the personal recommendations at Amazon. I'll find out later I guess!
