Its great that you can get a kindle in scotland. Please understand that there are a few things that the Kindle does better than anyone else on the market and I would recommend that you enjoy these capabilities to their max:
1) The search function, which is extreemly helpful if you have a whole lot of books
2) Customization functions, you can put your name on it.
3) Ability to get anything in electronic format, let's face it Amazon is probably has everything ever written.
If you don't use these features then why bother with the Kindle, get something cheaper like a Kobo, Libra Pro or a Pocketbook lite.
