Thank you for your insight. Your experience with your iPhone & iPod seem to mirror what I'm sort of already thinking... both the Nook & iDevice will make perfectly acceptable eReaders for my needs, but the browser experience on the iPod will be less than optimal (maybe bordering on unacceptable). But... and it's a BIG "but", the iPod will always be on me and therefore usable. Can't say the same thing about the NC!

But given the choice, you would have gone with the iPod over the Nook huh? Yeah, the mammoth app support is a tough mountain to overlook...

Regarding WiFi vs. 3g, given the choice I'd definitely prefer 3g but I'm not willing to shellout 2K+ every other year. I'm in Chicago so thankfully free wifi is practically everywhere making a plain ol' iPod a real alternative to the iPhone.

I think I'm having so much difficulty cause these 2 devices REALLY DO serve 2 totally different purposes and therefore can't/shouldn't be compared. Regardless, I am comparing them and I *need* to make a choice. Ugh!
