I have had an ipod touch, though I finally got an iphone. I find it is perfectly fine for reading on, just frequent page turning. Now that I have my nook color, if I'm sitting upstairs I will tend to put the phone down to browse the web on my nook. I find most web pages quite annoying on the phone, if I have other options. That's the thing though I ALWAYS have my iphone with me. If you have another reader, I would be tempted to say go with the phone, and use it when you want backlit reading, otherwise use your aluratek.

Trying to think back to the ipod only - given the choice I suspect I would have gone with the ipod, but then again I have 924 apps (they're not all in use, alot were free so I tried them out).

Around here wifi is basically only available at Starbucks and the library, so the wifi usability is somewhat limited away from home.

Of course its taken me 3, 4 weeks and 4 readers for me to make a decision on a reader.....
