Does apple sell epub format? While I do not have apple hardware I have no qualms about adding the company to my list of electronic book stores that I buy from. Competition is good Proprietary is bad.

To buy books from the iBook store, you need an iOS device (iPad, iPhone, Touch). At this time, Apple has not released versions of iBooks for non-iOS devices.
