If it's any help, I have an auxiliary Amazon account which has never been registered to an actual Kindle, only K4Mac, and I have the US dictionary in the archives of that.

So it may be worth it to you to try creating and registering a new account to K4PC, download and possibly strip the dictionary, and transfer it to your K3 before you shell out any extra cash to replace something that was originally included with your K3 purchase.

ETA: Oops, just realized you were wanting it to work with your original K4PC install, which apparently can't select alternate dictionaries. Well, it may still be worth a try, if K4PC is programmed to auto-select the included US default by ASIN or whatever, rather than needing to have it listed in your archives.
