Ah, to summarize if I have ios on my hardware then I have to pay extra for the right to buy from anyone I wish but if I had the forthought to chose osx then I can use what ever I want. Interesting, I love learning new things each day.

Does apple sell epub format? While I do not have apple hardware I have no qualms about adding the company to my list of electronic book stores that I buy from. Competition is good Proprietary is bad.
