You might think it's simple, but you're presenting the lack of such updates as some kind of rip-off on Amazon's part, or some sort of failure to live up to promises made. But you've completely failed to provide any evidence that Amazon has sold the DXG on the basis of promises to provide updates to its functionality. So claiming that you've been ripped off by Amazon to the extent that would warrant the involvement of the Watchdog TV programme is a somewhat hysterical overreaction to a simple case of a company choosing to focus its development efforts on a newer product.
We've all been there - bought something only to see a newer, cheaper model appear shortly afterwards, with functionality we'd like to have in the model we bought. It happens. Most of us don't throw a tantrum over it though, or accuse the company involved of ripping us off because we happened to buy a product just as they shifted their focus to developing a newer model.
