It costs more simply because it has a bigger screen - that doesn't automatically equate to "top of the line" - and it isn't Amazon's newest e-reader - that would be the K3:

I can understand a sense of frustration seeing a newer product being given development time and updates, but that happens all the time in this modern world of fast changing technologies. It's just silly to talk about it being a candidate for
Watchdog, though, a TV programme that publicises and calls companies to account for fraudulent and deceptive practices, excessively shoddy customer service, etc.
