I have to say, after some initial hiccups getting this up and running, I'm really enjoying my Literati. I got it in the BB&B sale, plus the 20% coupon, plus the rebate, so I was OK with the problems I was having - just needed to do some internet-fu to fix the corrupted disc issues and learn about the internet hack. I figured, for less than a tenth of the price of the PRS-950, I could put in some effort...
I like the color screen (I originally thought the LCD would be a problem, but with the adjustable brightness, it's working OK), I like the idea of the internet hack (haven't succeeded with that...yet), I like the SD card compatibility, I like the potential of the keyboard.
Ok, the battery life sucks, but I'm never somewhere that doesn't have electricity, so it's not that big a deal. My only real complaint is the PDF handling, but I'm going to try whacking some PDF books through Calibre and see if that helps any.
In short, my opinion on this device has gone from "hey, cheap e-reader"

to "cheap piece of junk"

to "diamond in the rough".
