They should start showing when you're past those and into the start of the text.

OH! You're right! The books starts at the Introduction (at 2%) and there are no page numbers there. I'm not in the front matter, yet no page numbers (and not in the prologue, either), but when I get to chapter 1 it starts saying page 1. It's a shame they don't have the roman numerals. It will make it hard to cite the prologue and intro (I'm referring to the free book Admit One, which I didn't think had page numbers).
