About the spoiler. JKR did an interview after DH and she mentioned:

Harry and Ron became aurors and re-defined the ministry (or something like that). She also mentioned stuff about other characters, but I can't remember much. I think this kind of stuff will be in the encyclopedia, at least I hope it is.
