I'd pre-order it (yes, it will download, still no charge, on release day).
the only problem is you don't know if you'll get 6 (which is supposed to be a pre-order) or 5 (if you don't, there isn't another way to do so on Kindle, although it's on the other platforms and still free).
I'd wait on the true 6, though ... it'll be free (somewhere, but likely also on Kindle).
