What is this thread about?
What is this thread about?? I looked back at the beginning and it was ereaders vs. paper books.
Personally, I always thought the book was the story or the knowledge being presented. The medium was just how it was presented. Whether it is glossy paper, non-glossy paper, news print, electronic or even audio, the words are the same and they, to me, are the "book."
I do find electronic very convenient, whether at home or not. It's easy to carry and easy to buy books. What's not to like?
I've been reading electronically since the Palm III. Now it's on a Moto Bravo cell phone or my PC. I would like a dedicated ereader with its long battery life, but none will fit in a dress shirt pocket (my criteria). I know all the ladies can carry their Kindle, Nook or Sony in their purse, but where am I going to stow it? I'm probably one of the few people who would like a smaller reader for easier carrying.
