this is an age related phenomenon. I am 64 and find that after extended periods of reading either on my blackberry or even in a paper book when I look up to focus on something further away like the TV at the other side of the room things are blurry for awhile. I am an MD but not ophthalmologist and my understanding is that as you age the lens becomes stiffer and takes longer to accommodate from near to far vision and vice versa
