While I'm pretty sure my sigs have never violated the guidelines posted on MR (or its spirit), part of me is sad to see the need to revise the guidelines and limit people's choices in promoting their work. Sure, I don't want to see big, flashy annoying logos either... but it seems the options for advertising a product are being taken away as fast as consumers are demanding to be spared from ads. I've never felt any sig on MR was too much, even with the more flexible guidelines here.
Oh, well, that's my minor rant.
Maybe I'm just bummed because I dropped my hat somewhere at Union Station, and apparently no one behind me saw fit to call out, or pick up the hat and bring it to me. Thank you, fellow Washingtonians.
