Sounds like something that has temporarily affected you. I could name a few factors like light levels, heat and stress, but there is a lot of things that can affecting eye vision.

This one time it has happened to you is not a lot of data to work with, so wait and see if it will continue to happen.

I can't really see much of a difference between a paper book and the Kindle's screen.
