Can't answer about the 3 cards limit, but another thing about BN giftcards is that you can use the same card online and in stores (obviously unlike amazon). So if you have a $20 balance, you can store that card and balance online. However, you can also take the physical card to the store and use $10, and the remaining $10 will still be available online. I shop both the online site and brick & mortar stores, so it's a nice feature. Essentially, the physical gift card doesn't become a zero balance or useless just because you attach it to your online account.
