Try nespresso if you have a chance. And if you like strong steam extracted coffee.
Of the lower temperature sort I think I prefer the way they do it in Brazil (at least were I was, both in the office, in the houses and our cook, yes we had a cook, and the car they gave me came with a driver, it lasted only few months). A lot of coffee, like a big spoonful for each tiny cup, heated in a steel pot with a little sugar added to it, heated until it just begin to smoke, then the freshly boiled water. heated till it foams once. Then filtered through a cloth. A sort of long cotton sock held by a metal ring with an handle. Served in tiny cups.
Low in poisons and rich in aroma and taste. As coffee I tend to favor Columbian. I would like to taste the Bali once. I had the Jamaican several times and I found it very good but hugely expensive.
In general, I think that the best coffee I had in restaurants is in the States. I mean uppy places. A lousy or mediocre coffee after a nice and expensive meal is a disgrace for the establishment, and very bad commercial practice. Bad for the tips also. Therefore they try hard to give you nice coffee, so you will come back. And good coffee, luckily, is something that money can buy.
