I deleted the sample online. However, my nook color had warning about disconnecting USB port correctly to avoid file transfer problems. This message would not go away and I could not direct my NOOK COLOR to do anything. So, I disconnected safely from computer. THEN I did the sync and it did delete the sample. I got my nook color for Christmas, but hate that I cannot delete directly on it but rather have to go thru BN online. ESPECIALLY since I can order books thru my wi-fi connection. Ridiculous!
