I'm going to have to do some experimenting (my own .sig is downright boring) and see if I can get something to work out for you. Also, you might want to take a look through other writers' .sigs (check the self-promotion section for a wide assortment) and see which ones look best, then ask them how they did it; that might be faster than waiting for me.
