I stopped drinking coffee a long time ago and instead drink green tea (unsweetened) that I carefully brew. I found the taste much more pleasing than that of the coffee I had drunk for more than 40 years.
INterestingly, there was an article in the Journal of Periodontology that said that drinkers of green tea had significantly less gum disease than those who didn't drink it, which is in addition to its lowering cholesterol and weight control benefits.
