Calibre collection about 6000 authors and 22000 books ( about 50 000 folders and files in sub-directories), "author_sort" = 'copy', author folder name like <surname_ name ...>

Question is - job "get list of books on device" doing about 120 mins, system swap file increased start from 1,18Gb (job progress 8%) up to 1,82 (job progress 45%) and 2,53Gb (job progress 94%) and finally can't finish 99% crash - "Microsoft Runtime error..."

any advice ? 2 hours to get list of books seems something wrong...
Sounds a little long (for a 'first time' fetch'), but it depends on a number of other factors: Number of books on device,USB mode, Processor load (Celeron is not a power house processor) and what else Calibre is doing. Did the initial 'backup metadata" process ever finish (this does about 1 book every 3 seconds) ?
