I don't need reading glasses, per se, but I'm nearsighted enough that without my glasses I can't see things unless they're right in front of my nose. I do find that reading with glasses on gives me a headache sometimes, so then I take them off and hold the reader up close to my face.
I tried changing the fonts to compensate, but with a larger font there were so few words on the page. I spent a lot more time making page turns, which was frustrating.
