And I'll also give a shout out to Disney, who've been in the business of screen musicals a long, long time of course.

If you've not seen them, you really should catch up with "The Little Mermaid", "Beauty and the Beast" and "Aladdin" - those three the same team as "Little Shop of Horrors", though the lyricist Howard Ashman sadly died during "Aladdin" - and "Lion King" in particular. There have been some great songs in more recent Disneys as well, but they hit a modern purple patch with those four.
