actually I have very few memories of the first week, I was that sick. I know that I was on a quarantine ward, there was an outbreak of maybe mumps (?) at the time. the next week when I recaptured my brain I was moved into a different ward, and some humbled Drill Sergeants came to visit

we had a girl with mononucleosis taste soup she was stirring on an Explorer (co-ed Boy Scouts) camping trip. it took out about 3/4 of the post (about 35 of us) from 2 to 4 weeks
