There are two copies of AB floating around that run better. One is a stripped down version mentioned in a post above and the other is a version I found that just said "no ads". Either of these run with no real lag and only a problem with the in-game text either missing or showing as white blocks.

Thanks. I'll use this for a while, and then update the firmware once PDN seems to slow down the updates. It's nice to
use the device, instead of always updating it, and then having to reinstall everything. Must be the Apple fan in me, wanting to pick it up and have it work and just use it.
