Ford hasn't had a 65-70% market share, with the next nearest competitor at 15%. I don't think it ever went above 50%, even in the days of the Model T.

And "monopoly" also doesn't mean a permanent lock. A company can lose its monopoly status through ordinary market mechanisms.
