Nice to "meet" you. I'm Beth, my hubby gave me a Kindle3 for Christmas, and I absolutely love it! I've already downloaded more than 45 books, only paid for 2, and I've read about 20 so far. I also bought the Kindle Cover from Amazon with the built in light. I'm loving that, also. I haven't found the light to be very draining (I use it about 1/2 hour every night), and I love the solid-ness of the cover. I did put a small velcro patch on the back of the Kindle to make it feel a bit more secure.
