Hi all,

I dug a little further, and as best I could, compared the sound with a new PB 602.

There was far less hiss and popping on the 602. But subjectively, I felt the 302 had the mellower sound, though slightly less clear than the 602. It was as if the 602 had been given a bit of a base and treble boost over the 302.

Were it not for the background noise - it sounds a little like a radio station that is just off tune - I'd have preferred the 302. Perhaps it is the same chip with slight manufacturing differences, but I don't know for sure.

Some earbuds have an inline volume control. Perhaps that would make the situation tolerable on the 302.

Cheers,
