Yes, I have read Asimov's Foundation series and know about Trantor and the Galactic center. Co-opting a great work of fiction to couch a political agenda may be mildy amusing but it is still a political agenda.
Maybe the Sarah the Mule will save them from the evil oppressive government. (See I combined two literary references into one but in this case there is only one mule for sister Sarah).
Apparently they didn't read about the Socialists in the Second Foundation and how powerful they are.

We all have bad days, and I have them more often than many others on MR. Usually, I read more into others statements than is really there. When I realize that I've been a fool (there are times when I don't) and have behaved badly, I do apologize. Sometimes publicly, sometimes with a PM also.
Other times I just say some very stupid things and have to eat crow as I apologies to one and all.
Like you, I sometimes assume that my jesting, sarcasm, or plain foolishness are clearly apparent to one and all. So on the 12th posting I thought that I should make if
very evident that this whole post was a joke. And so I wrote in
bold orange print the following.
I do apologize for getting your panties in a bunch by
"Co-opting a great work of fiction". If you wish to explain to me my other transgressions you might want to do it in a PM. Trust me. I know all about making a fool of myself in public. Not that I'm telling you that you can't do as you wish.
"Apparently, my sarcasm was not as obvious as I thought. Me needs to try harder."
Less would be better. Your brilliance astounds me as it is, and sends me to the darker corners to hide.
