For example in volume I the guide would include "The Red Thumb Mark" and when clicked you'd go to the toc of that book. Add all four books to the guide.
This would cut out a step or two in navigation.
Also, include a link to the title page in the toc of each book so a person could, from the toc, begin at the beginning or head straight for a particular chapter.
