Three feet in the ski resorts and mountainous areas in Oz would be considered an absolute monstering. In most other areas of Australia any snow would be considered a sign of the End Days.

I don't know anyone in the region affected myself, and can't recall any MR folks from the region. There are a lot of power-outage-affected homes and damaged communications, so an MR person from the area might have some difficulty keeping in touch at the moment.
