Looks like autonooter has just been updated!

When you are in Clockwork Recovery, select the option to install a .zip from the SDCARD
I think the reason it took so long is that the original dev of autonooter has been AWOL
So someone else did it ...

If you are already rooted on 1.0.1, I suggest you actually leave your installation, download the clockwork that runs from an SD card here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=922870 and then use the rooted 1.1 sideload here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=932145

When booted into Clockwork, you select "install zip from sdcard" .. and then you can select the 1.1 zip card.

This method will leave you programs and data you already installed intact; and won't modify your NC by installing clockwork to it (if you are wanting to avoid that).

As a side note, I think that B&N are actually cool with us nuetering our nooks! I think that the fact the In-Store features work on a rooted 1.1 NC illustrate that B&N is resigned to the fact that the NC will be rooted. In fact, the way the NC was built ALLOWED it to be rooted very easily. B&N didn't have to build it that way (no one else builds android devices that boot off the SD card that I'm aware of.
